A few nights ago, my wife and I attended a Riley Green concert to kick off our anniversary weekend.

He has been a favorite of ours since we saw him open for Brad Paisley back in 2019, so we were excited to see him perform live once again. One thing that we love about Riley Green is that he is just as phenomenal live as he is on the radio, which always makes for a great night.

If you haven't heard of him, Green is an up-and-coming country artist who sings songs like "I Wish Grandpa's Never Died", "If it Wasn't For Trucks", "Behind the Times" and "Bury Me in Dixie."

Most country artists that make their way through the state of Utah choose to play venues like USANA Amphitheatre, Vivint SmartHome Arena, or Deseret Peak.

In what was thought of as a surprising decision, Green chose a smaller venue known to locals as the Sandy Amphitheatre. Although it was a more intimate venue, the excitement and atmosphere made the 2,700 seat location electric.

The concert itself was amazing, but the often unnoticed behind the scenes team was incredible as well.

Security worked hard to make sure everyone was safe, merchandise workers were excited to outfit the fans, concessions workers kept everyone fed and hydrated, ticket takers made sure that everyone who purchased a seat got a chance to take part in the evening, and the stage crew made sure that the lights, camera's, and microphones were all working correctly.

Each person who had a hand in making that concert go smoothly did their job to perfection, and the show went on without issue.

How does this relate to mortgage process?

Home financing includes more than just a borrower and a loan officer. There are many people behind the scenes who make sure that compliance is kept, important documents are secure, and timelines are met.

In an earlier article that I wrote (listed here if you want to read it). I wrote out definitions of a few of these key players in the mortgage world. Outside of this list, other key teams include IT personnel, closing and funding guru's, and the lock desk squad.

In order for a borrower to sign the proper documentation and be handed the keys to their new home, each of these individuals and teams will make sure that their section of the process goes off without a hitch. If there are issues that arise, they fix it and give the loan the attention it needs to get back on track.

Although they oftentimes go unnoticed, it's the behind the scenes team that also deserves a lot of appreciation. It's because of them that borrowers are able to get into their dream homes and don't have to worry about unknown problems or eventual legal issues.

Something that borrowers can be sure of, is that their loan will be moved through the process with the upmost care and professionalism. Just like summertime concerts, it's the behind the curtains staff that makes the show run as smoothly as possible.
