After talking to a loan officer for the first time, there's a good chance that they've invited you to fill out a loan application. Filling out this application is first step to obtaining a new home, and it is very important that it is filled out as completely as possible.
Although there are a few pages of information that will be needed, there are six pieces of information that are essential for a loan estimate to be completed, and for the loan to be triggered as a valid, active loan. These six pieces of information include:
Each borrower's name
Each borrower's income
Each borrower's social security numbers
Property Address of the home the borrower is looking to purchase or refinance
Estimated value of the property
The amount of a mortgage loan a borrower is seeking
Having these pieces of information helps a mortgage loan officer to gain important insights to who we are working with, their ability to take on a loan and pay it back, and details on their desired home. These pieces of information can be given to a loan officer verbally (phone call or in person), or in written form.
Please let me know if you have any questions about a loan application, and lets get this process rolling on the route to homeownership.
